Alors tout d'abord, le barbecue est très prisé des australiens. Que ce soit viande d'agneaux, de boeufs ou même de kangourou, faire cuire de la viande en plein air est à l'origine une tradition et est maintenant très dévelopée en Australie.

Il y a également plein de plats traditionels, en voici quelques uns:

_Le Barramundi, un poisson plutôt répandu, qui se mange généralement frit ou grillé, accompagné de légumes.

_Le lamington, un gâteau australien constitué de rectangles de gâteau recouverts d'un glaçage au chocolat (ou à la framboise) et roulé dans de la noix de coco séchée.

_Du Vegemite, une pâte à tartiner brune foncée et assez salée.

L'Australie est également réputée pour ses vins, certains étant de très bonnes qualités et se vendant un peu partout dans le monde!
