    1-muhammad Ali, didn't want to be "nicer" to people because  he didn't want his fame to go away.

    2-je ne suis pa trop sure pour cette reponse mais, Ali got ordered to fight one an other which he didn't want, because they didn't do anything to him, they didn't hurt him, nor call him names. He was referring to his brother, dark people or some poor people. he was technically talking about racism.
